Having founded on the initiative of our national leader H. Aliyev, Azerbaijan Technological University (UTECA) now plays an important role in the training of highly-qualified cadres for the leading fields of Republic’s economy. At our University there are: ► 17 - specialties ► 4 - faculties ► 17- departments ► 1- Department of doctoral and master's degrees According to the information on 15 October, 2012, at present we have 2095 students. Alumni of UTECA decently represent our republic with their professionalism and active civic position not only in Azerbaijan, but also outsides of its borders. During the independence years the University has gained higher achievement. Nowadays modern material-technical base has been made, professorial tutor staff has already been formed dealing with effective pedagogical and scientific works. Among them there are professors having such honorary titles as honoured engineers, inventors, artists and honoured scientists. Our scientific-research laboratories play significant role in the improvement of education process and effectiveness of scientific-research work. The library and its reading-hall, supplied with modern computer technology, render its service to students and professors. According to its acmes, UTECA was awarded international “Grand Prix” in 1996 and with the gold medal of France support Association for Industry in 2002. UTECA was one of the firsts among the higher schools of the Republic passed the accreditation process in 2007. Our University has scientific relations with CIS and Turkey universities and other universities of foreign countries and with different scientific-research institutions.
